Almost four years ago, I posted this:
Well, persistence was definitely rewarded.
This past weekend, I *finally* got to run the ING NYC Marathon with over 47,000 runners from all over the world. Seriously, I felt like I was at the Olympics!
It was everything I hoped it would be and more. I was there primarily for the experience and had no goal time set. A lot of people told me that "racing" New York would be tough with the crowds and the challenging course so I just wanted to go out there and run for fun.
And I did!
But if you're curious...
And hadn't heard yet...
I also managed to finish in under 5 hours!!!

So yeah, I'd say I had an AWESOME time!!!
I am planning a series of posts to really document the amazingness of the whole weekend. Before I post those, I want to wrap up the San Jose Rock n Roll and Nike race reports first. I'll try to get those out this week so that next week can be all about NYC!!!
